Charleston, September 01, 2017 Safe Ports is pleased to announce we have been awarded a $25M IDIQ contract for Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Disaster Preparedness Assessment, Logistics, and Training Support Services and Supplies to support the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Humanitarian Assistance Program throughout the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
The nations of Central America, South America, and the Caribbean have continually experienced a turbulent history of widespread natural disasters. Throughout the region, USSOUTHCOM has worked in collaboration with local, national, regional, international, Government and non-Government organizations to improve each nation’s disaster response capabilities. This has been accomplished by increasing the capacity and regional infrastructure of partner nations through support of established Regional Emergency Management Mechanisms.
In support of the program, Safe Ports will provide non-personal services for the three task areas of Assessment, Training and Logistics, including provision of equipment and supplies to the Host Country. Safe Ports is proud to be part of this important program.
