Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) & Technology
Safe Ports was hired by one of America’s leading manufacturers of mine resistant ambush vehicles to be an outsource partner performing a myriad of warehouse distribution operations. For this client, Safe Ports opened 300,000 square feet of warehousing to ship, kit, preserve, mil-spec package and label parts to support the Defense Logistics Agency Depots and their OEM-managed repair and sustainment operations throughout the Middle East and Afghanistan. Safe Ports handled maintenance, repairs, parts and a significant amount of HAZMAT including batteries, drums of lubricants, petroleum products, paints, degreasers, etc. Our performance was rated as outstanding, the DLA called our efforts, “unprecedented”, as we earned a 100% pass rate for materials inspected at our facilities. To enhance speed and quality, Safe Ports developed a warehouse management system built on Oracle’s E-Business Suite (EBS).
We have continuously developed inventory management solutions custom designed for the tasks required. In 2016, Oracle recognized Safe Ports as one of their top innovators in cloud computing.
Sergei Petrov, CTO at Safe Ports, describes how migrating EBS to Compute Cloud and why Oracle's Integrated Cloud platform with high performance, reliability, and reduced costs, has helped them increase their competitiveness in winning new business.
