Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) adds Safe Ports Inc. to the $7.7B AMCOM EXPRESS IDIQ Contract.
Charleston South Carolina, March 11, 2011 –
Safe Ports, a Woman Owned small business based in South Carolina, announced today that it has been added by SAIC effective on February 2nd 2011 as its newest subcontractor to the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Expedited Professional & Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) Blanket Purchase Agreement.
AMCOM Express is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide advisory and assistance services AMCOM and its customers. The contract provides technical support for Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), the Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and allies for fielded Army aviation and missile systems. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Command established four domains for the AMCOM EXPRESS Program: Technical, Logistics, Programmatic, and Business & Analytics. SAIC is a prime contract holder for the Technical Domain.
Safe Ports Technical Services division will service the contract and anticipates providing subject matter experts, IT and Engineering staff to support SAIC AMCOM EXPRESS Task Orders as needed throughout the life of the contract.
